1) After many political scandals affect Mexico, most notably the 43 teaching students taken by the Iguana police to a drug trafficking group, people lose hope in their government. Many people speculate it will only be a matter of time till the fall of the Mexican government. Authorities haven't been able to stop violent gangs for the past 10-15 years, the result is 60,000 deaths in the past 10 years. The past 12 months have been rough for the Mexican government, with scandals costing the country billions in pesos. People are waiting for the fall of the Mexican government.
2) 3 major cruise lines close the Mexican port of Puerto Vallarta due to gang violence. The port was closed on account of civil unrest in Mexico, cause by gangs and drug cartels. The drug cartels are making it difficult to safely dock. The drug cartels are furious about the government interfering with their operations. Earlier this month, cartel gunmen set fire to cars, buses, banks, and gasoline stations near or in port Puerto Vallarta.
3) Instead of your boring coloring egg shenanigans, the Mexican population of Guadalajara were treated with a giant water slide. It was built in Liberacion Square and is over 300 feet long. The city of Guadalajara has a population of 1.5 million. The whole population was invited to join in on the amazing creation. They spent their Easter holiday in style.
